According to the order # 10556 of the President of Turkmenistan dated July 31, 2009, the new building of museum of history and local lorewas built, on June 20, 2011 there took place the opening ceremony. The museum consists of 3 floors, 6 showrooms. For preservation of the finds found from historical monuments of the Dashoguz region and carrying out planning works in the museum there is a fund meeting thepresent requirements, the art and planning and restoration workshop, the room equipped for advertising and printing works, laboratory. In the museum exhibitions were organized and held meetings and councils for the different directions. For this purpose the museum is provided with the equipped showroom and the conference hall.

Museum of history and local lore of the Dashoguzregion – became one more page added by gold letters to history of cultural development of our country. In the museum there is a Modern hall, departments of the nature, the fine arts, history, ethnography, and exhibitionhalls. In a museum exposition there are data on economic and cultural development of the Dashoguzregion during the happiness epoch, museum values found in historical places of the region, material and cultural wealth, natural values, rare samples of the fine arts. The exposition area of the museum is equal to 2451,8 square meters. In the Dashoguzregionunder the ministry there are 8 state museums. Work hours of museum of history and local loreof the Dashoguzregion: All days of the week from 09-00 till 18-00 o'clock Tuesday the exposition is closed.
